Opera

 American soprano Chandry Abreu began her early training in Seattle and in New York City. Her early career operatic credits include, among others, the roles of; Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Despina (Così fan tutte), Cynire (Echo et Narcisse), more recently; Tonina (Prima la music, e poi le parole), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) and Nedda (I Pagliacci). Chandry is a regular solo recitalist who enjoys enriching and building community through performing lesser known classical works and promoting accessibility to classical vocal arts and the opera art form. To Chandry, creating beautiful works of art lifts us to our highest selves.

In addition to her operatic activities, Chandry Abreu enjoys a multi-faceted career as a performing artist that expands the theater stage. As an experienced stage actor since childhood, she has played numerous roles. Recent staged play credits include two Seattle theater debuts; Salma (Abraham’s Land) and Ruby Simmonds (Mississippi Summer). An adept performer, singer, and teaching artist, Chandry values nurturing communities through arts outreach as well as teaching the next generation of singers and musicians.
